Immediate Life Support Refresher Course (ILS)

This immediate life support (ILS) refresher course is for clinicians who have an up-to-date ILS qualification but require an update to renew it. The course includes an update for clinicians on the recognition and management of a deteriorating patient (including anaphylaxis) with the aim to prevent cardiorespiratory arrest. It also includes a revisitation on the management of a cardiac arrest within a team, the use of an AED and basic airway manoeuvres.
It has been designed around guidelines from the Resuscitation Council (UK), NICE, the Royal College of Physicians as well as the clinical experience of ECG trainers.
