Chaperoning in General Practice

This online course has been designed for non-clinical staff such as GP receptionists, who may be asked to act as a chaperone and need some formal training. It has been written in line with the guidance from the General Medical Council, Royal College of Nursing, Medical Protection Society and CQC, and based on the clinical experience of our professional trainers.

This online course is aimed to give you a good understanding of why a chaperone may be necessary in General Practice. In addition to this it will provide you with an ability to act as a chaperone to support patients and clinicians during an examination. This would be an ideal course for someone who works in general practice and who may be expected to provide the service of being a chaperone.
