Designed for anyone who works with or cares for children, our comprehensive 12-hour Paediatric First Aid course equips you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond calmly and effectively in a childhood emergency. This course is fully Ofsted compliant, meeting the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework for childminders, nursery practitioners, teaching assistants, and school staff.
Delivered across two engaging learning days, the course combines the best of face-to-face and flexible online training. Day one is delivered entirely online at your own pace, allowing you to work through key theory, case studies, and knowledge checks whenever and wherever suits you best. Day two is a practical, instructor-led classroom session where you will develop hands-on skills including CPR, using a defibrillator, managing choking, and responding to a range of childhood injuries and medical emergencies.
Topics covered include managing asthma attacks, febrile seizures, head injuries, burns and scalds, anaphylaxis, meningitis, sepsis recognition, nosebleeds, eye injuries, minor wounds, and accident recording requirements for schools and EYFS settings.
On successful completion, you will receive a nationally recognised Paediatric First Aid certificate, valid for three years.
