NPA Injection and Needle Phobia (online)(PA)
This short online course is to support healthcare professionals working with patients who have an injection or needle phobia and gives them an understanding of phobias and methods to use to assist their patients when a vaccination or blood draw is required.
The learning outcomes of the course include :
- Understand the definition of “phobia”
- Identify the signs and symptoms of a patient experiencing needle or injection phobia
- Explore different techniques which you can implement to support and teach patients who have a needle or injection phobia
- Recognise the problems that patients may have when trying to implement techniques
