Within my role I was lucky enough to be able to co-ordinate a large training session – Injection Technique and a Resuscitation Course for 350 Pre-Reg Pharmacists!

Ensuring our 34 fabulous trainers who are normally scattered across the UK arrived safely at The East Midlands Conference Centre, we could begin.

Everyone arrived at 8am, checked in and ready to set up in their dedicated rooms. We had a few last minute tweaks with how we were going to facilitate, due to the size of the rooms provided and it’s important for us to keep everything consistent and our facilitation strong; as to be expected each and every one of our trainers were super agile and reactive, supporting the needs of business as the day went along – all with a smile on their face!

We held three timed sessions throughout the day. As soon as session 1 commenced all the pre planning and arrangements fell into place, it was such a relief! There was a fair amount of logistics that had to be completed before each of our training sessions, from training packs to KIT movements all the way through to KIT replenishment’s.

– You can only imagine the amount of organising that went into this one day!

We take pride in ensuring we have impactful training sessions, each one of our trainers has a personal teaching style. Delegates complimented our trainers throughout the day, which was lovely to hear in person. It’s not often the head office team are able to observe our trainers sessions, however when we do – we love it! Seeing the ever-changing development of our courses come to life and having time with our trainers is super special.

This being the first large scale event we have ever held, we did pretty good! A lot was learnt and digested, both from a training and operational perspective. I am looking forward to coordinating future large-scale events, each time getting slicker.

I would like to say a special thank-you to our client Boots, who we have built a very strong relationship with over the years. Kathryn and Matt were brilliant and extremely supportive during the planning stages.

Finally, a HUGE thank you to all the trainers who supported the day, it would not have been possible without you!
