Chaperoning in General Practice
This online course has been designed for non-clinical staff such as GP receptionists, who may be asked to act as a chaperone and need some formal training. It has been written in line with the guidance from the General Medical Council, Royal College of Nursing, Medical Protection Society and CQC, and based on the clinical experience of our professional trainers.

- Understand the characteristics of fire, smoke and toxic fumes
- Know the fire hazards in the working environment
- Be aware of the significant findings of relevant fire risk assessments
- Understand how to practice and promote fire prevention
- Be aware of basic fire safety and local fire safety protocols including staff responsibilities during a fire incident
- Know the means of raising the fire alarm and the actions to take on hearing the fire alarm
- Know instinctively the right action to take if fire breaks out or smoke is detected
- Be familiar with the different types of fire extinguishers, state their use and identify the safety precautions associated with their use

General Data Protection Regulations
This online course has been designed to provide an overview for employees of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which replaced the Data Protection Act in May 2018. The course aims to introduce the changes and implication of the new regulations for organisations and covers the principles of GDPR, key compliance obligations, an overview of roles, responsibilities, and processes.
