Recognising an unwell patient for GP receptionists and HCAs
This course is for medical receptionists and health care assistants (HCA’s) who work in general practice surgeries. [read more=”Read more” less=”Read less”]It is designed so that HCA’s and medical receptionists have an awareness and understanding of the unwell patient, and any red flag symptoms that they may present with. The course includes recognising the unwell patient and the appropriate course of action to take with them. It covers a variety of common medical emergencies, and the signs and symptoms associated with each one. The course is designed to consolidate the existing knowledge and experience of receptionists and health care assistants, and on completion of it there is no expectation that they should diagnose a condition or implement treatment.[/read]
