Domestic Abuse: Introduction to the FREE Bright Sky App

Bright Sky is a free to download mobile app and webpage, that supports anyone who may be in an abusive relationship or those concerned about someone they know. It aids the user in identifying and understanding the current situation, whilst supporting them to reach out to specialist services. Bright Sky offers a range of resources which will empower and support the user to seek the guidance they need, as well as serving as a comprehensive educational toolkit.

This 30-minute webinar will give you a brief overview of Bright Sky, how it’s relevant to your role and how it can support you to fulfil your duty of care as healthcare professionals.

The session will be delivered by Denise Pringle (Training, Development and Delivery Lead at Thames Valley Partnership) and is a great opportunity for you to learn more about this robust digital safeguarding tool.

  • It can be used as a support intervention for survivors and service users, as well as an educational tool for staff to ensure they are supporting their teams effectively and in line with their corporate responsibility
  • Is a key resource in the ‘Safe Spaces’ campaign that many national pharmacies have signed up to
  • Is a recommended wellbeing app on Our NHS People and VIVUP (the NHS EAP provider)
  • Users have access to a robust risk assessment created with influence from the CAADA DASH
