Get help to manage your drinking
Alcohol is a seen as being a part of British culture and this can make it difficult to cut back on alcohol for your health and wellbeing. Drinking too much alcohol on a regular basis can affect your family life, make it difficult for you to complete daily activities and impact upon your ability to function at work. Alcohol can also become addictive, damaging your overall health.
We can help you by offering you psychological support and proven treatment if indicated.
Our confidential Alcohol Reduction Service offers proven alcohol reduction treatment normally undertaken by your GP, at appointment times to suit you, meaning you don’t need to wait for an appointment at your GP surgery. We can help you to reduce your drinking or give up alcohol altogether if that is your goal.
Our service can help if you have mild to moderate alcohol dependence and wish to reduce your level of drinking.
This service is not suitable to you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have severe liver or kidney disease. Please seek advice from your GP if you have symptoms and are not able to be seen at the Makewell Clinic.
