Good news! You have spoken! We have listened!
We train hundreds of GP surgeries every year and we often get asked how we can reduce the face to face training time, so here we are!
We will soon be launching a blended online and face to face Basic Life Support course, aligned to Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) Level 2.
In line with our current Basic Life Support Course this brand new course will enable our customers to know how to recognise an adult, child or infant in cardiac arrest and be able to provide basic life support.
This course is suitable for organisations where healthcare professionals have a duty to respond in a timely manner. In line with guidance from the Resuscitation Council (UK), this training includes an online theory section which is first completed at the individual’s own convenience, and then one of our clinical trainers will come onsite to complete the practical skill assessment. This means the healthcare professionals are only away from their normal duties for a short period to undertake a practical assessment, dramatically reducing the cost and time pressure of providing this mandatory training which would usually be completed in a half day face to face training session.
• Recognise and treat a choking adult, child or infant
• Identify how and when to use the recovery position
• Recognise an adult, child or infant in cardiac arrest
• Initiate basic life support (including the use of a pocket mask) and summon appropriate help
• Describe the chain of survival and the need for defibrillation
