Load and Minimal Patient Handling for Practices

This Moving and Handling course is suitable for staff who work within a primary care environment. The course provides an opportunity to practice in a safe environment and covers the principles of manual handling. Learners will gain a basic knowledge of the relevant legislation and professional guidance; use risk assessment to reduce the risk of harm; controversial practice and identify and practice under supervision the most appropriate handling techniques and equipment.
