Course Overview:

  • This course will enable the delegates to know how to recognise an adult, child or infant in cardiac arrest and be able to provide basic life support
  • It is suitable for anyone

At the end of the training the delegates will be able to:

  • Recognise and treat a choking adult, child or infant
  • Identify how and when to use the recovery position
  • Recognise an adult, child or infant in cardiac arrest
  • Initiate basic life support (including the use of a pocket mask) and summon appropriate help
  • Describe the chain of survival and the need for defibrillation

Course Delivery:

Course Assessment:

  • Demonstration of effective and appropriate Basic Life Support on a training manikin of an adult, child and infant
